Before You Start
You cannot reset MFA directly inside the Outlook app.
You can access your MFA settings through Outlook on the web or directly at the Microsoft Security Info page.
If you are locked out completely and cannot sign in at all, your school’s IT department ( techsupport@pwcs.edu ) must reset it for you.
Option 1: Reset MFA Through Outlook on the Web
1.Go to Outlook on the web:
PWCS.EDU > Employees > Outlook Email
2.Sign in with your school/work account.
3.Click your profile picture in the top‑right corner.
4.Select View account.
5.On the left, click Security info.
6.You’ll see your current authentication methods (phone, email, Authenticator app, etc.).
From here you can:
Add sign‑in method (new phone number, Authenticator app, etc.)
Delete old methods you no longer use.
7.Follow the on‑screen steps to finish setup.
Option 2: Reset MFA Directly Through the Security Info Page
You can skip Outlook and go straight to your MFA settings:
- Go to PWCS.EDU > Employees > Office 365
- Sign in with PWCS account (username + @pwcs.edu)
- Click on profile picture in bottom right of screen
- Click on "My Microsoft 365 profile"
- Go to "Security Info" on the left side

You’ll see your current authentication methods (phone, email, Authenticator app, etc.).
From here you can:Add sign‑in method (new phone number, Authenticator app, etc.)
Delete old methods you no longer use. - Follow the on‑screen steps to finish setup.
This is the fastest way to reset MFA.
